Evidence & limits
Methodology.
Role by Role combines sourced career maps, retrieval practice, small implementation steps, and compassionate recovery from missed days.
The motivation model
Plans are organized around autonomy, competence, belonging, and recovery. Learners choose a role and pace; complete small observable actions; connect in role-specific circles; and resume without losing previously earned progress. The product should optimize for meaningful actions completed—not time spent scrolling.
Role proof
The Role Proof Studio uses a Situation–Action–Result scaffold to help learners retrieve and organize genuine experience. A story becomes “ready to rehearse” only after the learner supplies useful detail in all three sections and completes a truth-and-privacy review. The label is self-assessed: it is not employer verification, a hiring score, or an outcome prediction. Stories stay in the learner’s browser and are excluded from account sync.
The finance study signal
Topic mastery is estimated from answers correct divided by answers attempted plus a capped practice-volume factor, then multiplied by the published exam weight. A second modest volume factor is applied and the displayed signal is capped at 96. It is not a pass probability, predicted exam score, or psychometrically validated assessment.
